IPC Mouldings offers apprenticeships through workplus initiative
IPC Mouldings is proud to announce our collaboration with apprenticeship hiring organisation, Workplus, for its ‘My Head Start’ apprenticeship programme, which offers apprenticeship roles in Engineering and Polymer Processing to member organisations.
As an award-winning provider of injection moulded parts, IPC Mouldings is committed to providing career opportunities to the next generation of engineers and investing in our people to offer on the job training and support.
By partnering with Workplus, which was established in 2019 to help employers and apprentices connect, we will have the opportunity to provide successful applicants with comprehensive training within a manufacturing environment, and on successful completion of their apprenticeship, the possibility of a career within our company.
Joanne Liddle, Managing Director of IPC Mouldings said, “We are delighted to be working with Workplus to offer apprenticeships to young people who are interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing and engineering. Through the Workplus apprenticeship programme, apprentices will be offered the opportunity to gain hands-on experience from the start and be supported at all stages with a dedicated mentor.
“It is important that each young person becomes familiar with different functions within the business to gain knowledge of job roles, and experience first-hand the diverse career paths that manufacturing has to offer. The industry is constantly changing and evolving and engineering is one of the key skills in demand within Northern Ireland.
“We have always been passionate about training the next generation at IPC Mouldings offering work experience, placements and apprenticeships and it is great to see that now, more employers are embracing the apprenticeship programmes. Apprenticeships are a great way to attract and mould new talent and we hope that through our participation in the My Head Start programme, we will continue to inspire the next generation.”
Through on–the–job and off–the–job learning, an apprentice is considered a full–time employee of the company, earning while they learn. A Workplus Apprenticeship fast tracks apprentices into a career where they can develop new skills, new experiences and new networks.
The My Head Start apprenticeship programme by Workplus has opportunities in fintech, software development, engineering, banking, customer operations and more areas, including Higher Level Apprenticeships. Since Workplus’s inception in 2019 it has helped 100 employers connect with over 400 apprentices.
Workplus has forty member companies, from large multi-nationals to thriving small businesses, and it allows employers to indicate demand and aspiring apprentices to apply. Rather than applying to companies directly, applicants can apply for multiple opportunities by completing one application through Workplus.
Applicants for IPC Moulding’s apprenticeship scheme in Engineering (levels 2 and 3) and Polymer Processing (levels 2 and 3) have until Friday 24th February 2023 to apply. For more information or to submit an application visit www.workplus.app
