BuildingTalentatIPC

At IPC Mouldings, we are committed to investing in our people.

We design and manufacture mould tools and supply plastic injection moulded products and value add assemblies, primarily, to the aircraft interiors market; a sector whose continued growth highlights the need to address the skills gap to secure its future.

Our training approach is designed to enhance team capabilities by maximising individual potential and fostering an environment where talent and careers can thrive. We actively invest in employee development throughout their professional journey, providing learning opportunities and pathways for advancement to help build successful careers in aerospace manufacturing.

Supporting Young People

At IPC Mouldings, we are committed to engaging with young people from the local community by:

  • Building strong partnerships with schools, and colleges.
  • Partnering with Queen’s University and Ulster University to provide placement opportunities for students.
  • Offering apprenticeships and internships, giving aspiring engineers valuable exposure to industry life, hands-on learning opportunities, and the experience they need to shape their careers.
  • Supporting Access Employment Ltd, a local social enterprise that helps vulnerable and socially disadvantaged individuals gain meaningful employment.
  • Actively engaging in STEM events and visit local schools to share insight into the work that we do.
  • Collaborating with Workplus on their ‘My Head Start’ apprenticeship programme, offering opportunities to those who may face barriers to employment.

We believe it is important to plant the seed of engineering early, encouraging young people to pursue careers in manufacturing and engineering. We also recognise the importance of facilitating both learning and access to work for young people and the wider community. As a result, individuals can develop new skills, gain industry experience, and progress toward meaningful careers within our company.

Team Training and Career Progression

This year, we supported six of our team members in their graduation from the Northern Regional College’s ILM Leadership and Management programme. The aim of the programme is to prepare our team for promotion to higher responsibility leadership roles within our company, supporting the next generation of engineers.

We want our employees to have the possibility of career progression when working with us, so believe investing in their future and continuous professional development is beneficial to them as well as the needs of the business.

Supporting our Team

We are committed to creating a workplace where our employees feel valued and supported. We provide a private healthcare policy, a safe and welcoming working environment, and opportunities for continuous learning and personal growth. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our business, and we actively encourage every voice to be heard.

We believe that listening to our team is essential to both their wellbeing and the success of our business. Each year, we invite employees to share their thoughts through our staff survey, offering suggestions for improvements. We openly review their insights with the clear aim of turning feedback into meaningful action.

We believe investing in people, training and development is invaluable to personal and professional growth and this is reflected through our excellent team. We offer multiple career progression routes that enable our team members to advance within the organisation, with a strong focus on continuous skill development.

If IPC Mouldings is a place where you believe you can thrive and aerospace manufacturing sounds like a career you or someone you know is interested in, then keep an eye out for any upcoming opportunities.
